Indulge guilt-free with this delicious diet cake made with oats. Packed with fiber and wholesome ingredients, this cake is perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings without derailing your diet.

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust according to your sweetness preference)
  • 2 eggs (or flax eggs for a vegan option)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a bowl, combine the rolled oats and almond milk. Let them soak for about 10-15 minutes until the oats have absorbed the liquid and softened slightly.
  3. Once the oats are soaked, add the unsweetened applesauce, honey or maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a smooth batter forms.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it out evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Slice and serve your oatmeal diet cake as is, or top it with Greek yogurt and fresh berries for an extra nutritious treat.

Enjoy your guilt-free indulgence!
