  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 slices of ham
  • 6 slices of Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  3. Spread the Dijon mustard evenly over the puff pastry.
  4. Lay the ham slices on top of the mustard, covering the entire surface.
  5. Place the Swiss cheese slices on top of the ham.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Starting from one of the longer edges, tightly roll up the puff pastry into a log.
  8. Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch thick rounds.
  9. Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  10. Brush the tops of the pinwheels with the beaten egg.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pinwheels are golden brown and puffed up.
  12. Allow the pinwheels to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
