  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and instant yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add condensed milk and softened butter to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  4. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
  6. After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide the dough into equal-sized portions and shape them into balls.
  7. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each one.
  8. Cover the dough balls with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Brush the risen dough balls with beaten egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds on top if desired.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the bread cool on a wire rack.
  13. Serve warm or at room temperature. Enjoy the fluffy goodness of your homemade condensed milk bread!
