Easy Taco Bake Recipe

This delicious taco bake recipe is a crowd-pleaser that’s simple to make and packed with flavor. It’s perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings with friends and family.


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 ounces) corn kernels, drained
  • 1 can (10 ounces) diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, chopped green onions, sour cream, salsa


  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Add the taco seasoning to the skillet, along with the black beans, corn, and diced tomatoes with green chilies. Stir well to combine and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese on top.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and arrange it on top of the cheese mixture, covering the entire surface.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent roll crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
