Easy Blender Rice Balls Recipe

Learn how to make delicious rice balls using your blender! This recipe is quick, simple, and perfect for a tasty snack or appetizer.

  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably sushi or short-grain rice)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
  • Nori sheets, cut into strips (optional, for wrapping)

  1. In a blender, combine the cooked rice, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
  2. Transfer the blended rice mixture to a mixing bowl. Add chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Mix well until evenly distributed.
  3. Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking. Take a small amount of the rice mixture and shape it into a ball, about the size of a golf ball. If using, wrap a strip of nori around the rice ball.
  4. Repeat with the remaining rice mixture until you have formed all the rice balls.
  5. Serve the rice balls immediately, or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Enjoy as a snack or appetizer!
