Chocolate Eclair Cake Recipe

This easy-to-make chocolate eclair cake is a delightful treat for any occasion. With layers of creamy filling and chocolate frosting, it’s sure to satisfy any sweet tooth!


  • 1 box (14.4 oz) graham crackers
  • 2 boxes (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 can (16 oz) chocolate frosting


  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. Fold in the thawed whipped topping until well combined.
  2. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, arrange a layer of graham crackers on the bottom, breaking them if needed to fit.
  3. Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the graham crackers.
  4. Add another layer of graham crackers on top of the pudding mixture.
  5. Spread the remaining pudding mixture over the second layer of graham crackers.
  6. Top with a final layer of graham crackers.
  7. Microwave the chocolate frosting for about 30-45 seconds until it’s pourable but not too hot.
  8. Pour the melted chocolate frosting over the top layer of graham crackers, spreading it evenly to cover the entire surface.
  9. Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the graham crackers to soften and the flavors to meld.
